Springstream in the North Georgia Mountains Poem

Enjoy this Poem written by Sandlapper from the Airstream Forum:

Twas the week before Springstream and all through the South,
All the Streams sat ready, parked by the house.
Polished and shining, many quite rare,
Ready to roll to the Georgia Mountain fair.

Waiting to hitch up and roll out of town,
Back to a gathering where good times abound.
Blue stripe Zip Dees and Flamingos in pink,
Homemade curtains hang by the sink.
The site all picked out, the menu is made,
Throw open the awning and sit in the shade.
Some bring the chips, others bring the dip,
I,ll bring a jar so we can all have a sip.
Meet at the shelter, the band's really great,
Good food is plentiful, just bring a large plate.
Bring all your stories, it's been a whole year,
Old friends and new friends, we all want to hear.
Shop talk, recipe swap and open house too,
Not nearly enough time for so much to do.
Before we are ready it will be time to head home,
With fresh new memories to take as we roam.
"On Bambi, on Tradewind, on Safari and Crusiette,
On Classic, on Overlander, on Cutter and Minuet!"
The head Streamer shouted as he packed up his load.
"Safe travels to everyone, see you down the road!"
